Terms of Service

PataAjira helps you discover, track, and manage opportunities such as jobs, grants, scholarships, and fellowships. Features may include deadline reminders, optional Google Calendar sync, URL exploration, and profile-based recommendations. We may update or discontinue features from time to time.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Attempt to access other users' data or our systems without permission.
• Upload malware or interfere with the reliability of the service.
• Scrape or automate access in a way that burdens our infrastructure without consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as notes, CVs, and tracked opportunities). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve PataAjira for you.

Optional integrations (for example Google Calendar, email delivery, or AI-assisted parsing) are subject to those providers' terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services you choose to connect. Details about data shared with Google appear in our Privacy Policy.

PataAjira is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Opportunity listings, deadlines, and AI-generated summaries may be incomplete or outdated. You are responsible for confirming details with official sources before applying or relying on dates.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PataAjira and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

You may stop using PataAjira at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may request account deletion by contacting us; see the Privacy Policy for how we handle data after deletion.

We may update these Terms. We will post the current version at /terms and update the date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in courts located in Kenya, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
